'Grey's Anatomy' Season 12 News: New Behind-The-Scene Photos Revealed; Former Cast Member Clarifies Rumor
ABC's hit medical drama TV series "Grey's Anatomy" Season 12 is currently on a hiatus and won't be returning on air until next month. In an effort to stay connected with its fans, the show released a handful of behind-the-scene photos showing some of the cast members. Speaking of the cast, one former member stepped out to clarify an ongoing casting rumor.
On the show's official Facebook Page, a snap was shared featuring Joe Adler (as Isaac Cross in the series), Sara Ramirez (as Callie Torres), Kevin McKidd (as Owen Hunt) and Camilla Luddington (as Dr. Jo Wilson). The stars posed in goofy manner as they resemble who appears to be characters from the classic fairy tale, Wizard of Oz.
During the New Year, the stars posed for a group photo (which can be seen above) showing them hanging around the show's set.
Meanwhile, fans of the series might be unhappy to know that a character, whom they are rooting for to resurface, might not be returning at all.
Previously, it has been said that actress Kate Walsh, who played the role of Addison Montgomery – the ex-wife of Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey) – will be on the show this year.
Much to the disappointment of many, Walsh took to her social media to say that the casting report is just but a "hoax."
To further make it official, the 48-year-old "Private Practice" star told Hollywood Life in an interview that it's important for her, as an actress, to "move on." Nonetheless, she was quite "happy and grateful and thrilled" to be able to play the part for nine years.
As for the fate of her character, she has no idea at all. She added that anything can happen in the world of Shonda Rhimes.
"Grey's Anatomy" Season 12 is expected to return to the small screens this Feb. 11 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
Stay tuned for more updates.
