Hilary Duff Hits the Studio Pregnant to Record New Song

Hilary Duff seems to be preparing for two things including a new album and being a mother since she was recently sited arriving to a recording studio just two months before she is due to give birth.

The singer who seemed excited while leaving Pilates class on Friday in Toluca Lake, Calif., appears to have been inspired by the fact that she will be a mommy soon and decided to hit up the recording studio that day before.

"@matt squire ooooooo excitement ensuing… now! Recording all day!" tweeted the singer on Thursday.

"Such an amazing session with @Hilary Duff yesterday!! Xcited!!!" tweeted music producer and writer Matt Squire a day later.

The 24-year-old who is 7-months pregnant is expecting a baby boy this upcoming March. Her 31-year-old husband, Mike Comrie plays in the NHL for the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Duff has been contemplating a new album since for quite some time. "Before I got pregnant I was thinking about making a record so I still want to do that," said the singer to E! News in October.

"I think that after I have a baby I'll want to site for a few months and learn how to be a really good mom," she continued. "And then there's no reason why I can't put a record out and tour… It might take a little while but I'm really excited about it."

Her last album, Dignity was released in 2007. This upcoming record will be her fifth. She originally stated that she would be working on this new album to MTV in 2008.

Her second studio album, Metamorphosis that was released in 2003 went on to sell 3.9 million copies in the U.S. launching hit singles such as "So Yesterday" and the former Laguna Beach theme "Come Clean."
