Hillary Clinton Returns to Work, Receives Helmet From Colleagues

Hillary Clinton has returned to work at the State Department after recovering from a series of unfortunate events. Colleagues were happy to have the Secretary back and presented her with a football helmet to protect her head, as well as a football jersey with the number of trips she's taken during her four-year term.

Clinton became ill last month with a stomach virus and became so dehydrated that she fainted and hit her head, causing a concussion. Just days later doctors discovered a blood clot between her brain and skull; they admitted her to New York Presbyterian Hospital and treated Clinton with blood thinners until the clot dissolved.

Upon her return to Washington today, approximately 75 State Department officials welcomed her with applause and open arms. Deputy Secretary of State Thomas Nides presented Clinton with a football helmet specially decorated with the State Department seal. He told Clinton that "life in Washington is often a contact sport, sometimes even in your own home," according to the Associated Press.

Clinton was also given a blue football jersey with "Clinton 112" on the back, in honor of the number of trips she has taken in her four-year term as Secretary of State. Clinton has traveled more than any other Secretary of State, setting a record that the next Secretary will have to work extra hard to break.

"She loved it. She thought it was cool. But then, being Hillary Clinton, she wanted to get right to business," State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland told reporters.

Right now that business includes her testimony for the Benghazi trials, which she was scheduled to give before falling ill. Even though several accused her of faking her illness, even calling it the "Benghazi flu," Clinton has promised that she will testify before Congress before officially leaving office.

As of now, there is no date set when she will testify and may have to do so after President Obama is officially sworn in for a second term.
