Jars of Clay is giving away their hit song, "Fall Asleep," from new album, Inland, through a special NoiseTrade promotion that begins today to help raise money for relief efforts in the Philippines.

The proceeds from the single will go to support The Red Cross in the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan, which is reportedly the strongest tropical cyclone to make landfall in recorded history.

The "Fall Asleep" video made its debut on USAToday.com and was created in the Philippines.

"The video was done for us entirely for free, as a gift," said Jars of Clay lead vocalist, Dan Haseltine in a press release. "We are so grateful for the gift of such a stunningly beautiful music video. By using the video and the song as a means to raise funds to help in the clean up and restoration efforts currently taking place in the Philippines, we felt it would be a wonderful way to respond in kind."

See the video below.

"When the idea of shooting a music video in the Philippines was offered, we had no idea how amazing the process was going to be," said Haseltine. "We are grateful for Luis and the entire production team for making such a beautiful piece to accompany a beautiful song."

Jars of Clay want people to watch the video and then download it at Noisetrade and leave a tip for a donation.

"I incorporated the sun and stars from the Filipino flag, as well as the skyline of Manila," said Haseltine about the artwork. "We are hoping to raise $50,000 to help serve the amazing people of the Philippines and will be working with The Red Cross to insure the funds are used properly and efficiently."

Jars of Clay will be embarking on the Inland Christmas tour on December 4 were they will mix songs from the album along with Christmas tunes.

"Our Christmas concerts tend to be the most creative events of the year for Jars of Clay," said Haseltine. "We incorporate toy pianos, concert bass drums, mini-bass, xylophones, strings and bells, along with all the usual instruments, lights and presentation to shine a warm light on a season of peace and joy."
