Young Christians should always be searching for what will make them most spiritually fulfilled and joyful in life, including waiting until the covenant of marriage to have sex, well-known Christian speaker Jefferson Bethke says in his latest YouTube video.

Bethke, an inspirational speaker and Christian author, shared on Monday that while many young Christians ask they question "Can I have sex before marriage?" they should really ask themselves "Should I have sex before marriage?"

"The question we should always be asking is: 'What leads to the most joy?'" Bethke says in the video, which has already garnered over 82,000 views since it was posted on Sunday.

Bethke goes on to suggest that young Christians ask themselves "Where's the most joy? Where's the most fulfillment? Where's the most satisfaction?" when making all big decisions in their life, including the possibility of sex before marriage.

"Sexuality is this deeply sacred, beautiful, thing in us, almost very close to our identity, so it almost feels apart of who we are," Bethke explains.

The Christian inspirational speaker then goes on to use the metaphor of music to describe God's plan for the world.

"It's clear, especially if you're a follower of Jesus, that God has designed and lined up the world to work a certain way, meaning there's kind of this music or this dance happening in the entire universe … we can either submit to that music or we can not, and it's kind of like putting a wrench in the system when we go against the music. The music's not going to change for us, we can either dance in beat or out of beat," Bethke says, drawing a parallel between following God's plan for sex and the rhythm of the world.

The husband and father also suggests that what young people do with their body "communicates something bigger and deeper" to the rest of their being, including their spirituality.

Bethke elaborates on this argument by suggesting that the true essence of sex is seeing a person and accepting them with all of their vulnerability, and such a deep connection with someone cannot be obtained outside of the covenant of marriage.

Bethke and his wife, Alyssa Joy, live together in Maui, Hawaii, with their daughter, Kinsley. The couple is expecting a second child together.

The 25-year-old has spoken about the subject of sex, especially its destructively recreational nature in the 21st century, in many previous YouTube videos, as well as Spoken Word performances.

Bethke previously addressed the topic of sex in a 2011 Spoken Word performance titled "Sexual Healing."

"I mean, if sex is just for fun, why does it take such a toll? Maybe it's 'cause you don't just have sex with a body; you have sex with a soul," Bethke says in the video.
