Kamala Harris, Tim Walz ’60 Minutes’ interviews: Top 4 highlights
2. 'I have a Glock'
On the heels of Harris telling Oprah Winfrey last month that she owns a gun and would shoot anyone who tried to enter her home, Whitaker asked her to explain what type of gun she owns and if she has ever shot it.

Harris, who also touted her gun-owning credentials during her debate with Trump, cited her "background in law enforcement" as the reason for why she owns a Glock.
Harris laughed when Whitaker asked her if she had ever fired her gun, saying, "Yes, of course I have. At a shooting range."
Harris repeatedly expressed support for a mandatory gun buyback program while running in the 2020 Democratic primary.
In unearthed footage taken from when she was serving as district attorney of San Francisco, Harris appeared to suggest support for government officials going into the homes of gun owners to ensure compliance.
“Just because you legally possess a gun in the sanctity of your locked home doesn't mean that we're not going to walk into that home and check to see if you're being responsible,” Harris said in the clip, which was disseminated by the National Rifle Association (NRA).
Harris also supported a 2005 ballot measure that would have banned San Francisco residents from owning pistols.
