Kingdom Bound Music Festival to Kick Off 23rd Year
Popular Christian band Salvador will officially kick off this week's Kingdom Bound Christian Music Festival in Darien Center, N.Y., Sunday night with a Latin-tinged "praise party."
Around 55,000 people are expected to attend the three-day, four-night event at the Darien Lake Theme Park Resort, where a slew of internationally-known Christian artists will take the stage, including Casting Crowns, Israel Houghton, and Newsboys.
One of North America's largest and longest running events of its kind, the Kingdom Bound Christian Music Festival features more than 80 concerts and over 50 seminars that appeal to a very broad audience.
This year, the festival is also giving Kingdom Bound attendees access to Darien Lake's more than 40 rides and attractions including a water park.
"This year, people are being extra careful with how they spend their money," notes Kingdom Bound spokesman Mark Weber. "Staying on grounds for the entire festival is a great value for your vacation."
Speakers for this year's event include Wes Aarum, Keith Davis, Jerry Gillis, Bob Lenz, Ryan Loos, Justin Lookadoo, David Nasser, Dr. Matthew Sleeth, and Brett Ullman.
The festival closes Wednesday with a concert by longtime festival favorite the Newsboys.
"Wednesday night's concert by Newsboys will be a rock show that's quite the spectacle," Weber commented.
This year marks Kingdom Bound's 23rd year.
