Kris Humphries' 'Difficult Time,' Moving Forward

Newly single Kris Humphries has finally opened up about his divorce from Kim Kardashian during a press conferences while announcing a new business venture. The 26-year-old basketball player said that since the end of his 72-day-long marriage to Kardashian, he has been having a “difficult time.”

Humphries announced an endorsement deal with Sector Watches, and told the audience, “I’m happy to be here,” according to Us Weekly. “As you all know, this has been a difficult time in my life, and I’m so grateful [for] my friends for their unwavering support.”

The deal with the watch company is worth an estimated $150,000. Humphries and Kardashian signed an “iron-clad” prenuptial agreement which protects their assets despite the pending divorce. Humphries is currently seeking to earn an income since the NBA lockout shows no signs of letting up.

“I continue to train every day,” said the NBA player.

“I’ve been in the NBA for seven years and have built some great friendships. We are all working hard and getting ready… I’m ready for when it happens,” he added of the lockout ending.

Of the luxury Italian watch company, Humphries said, “I’m really honored to be with the Sector brand.”

He added that the company “represents who I am both on and off the court.”

“Most of all, they really do have great watches,” added Humphries.

Until the lockout ends, Humphries said he would be working with his foundation, and that a portion of sales at Sector will go toward his efforts to combat childhood obesity.

The season premiere of “Kourtney & Kim Take New York” was filmed ahead of the divorce announcement and will include video footage of the deteriorating marriage between Humphries and Kardashian. The show airs Sunday, Nov. 27 on E! at 10 p.m. EST.
