Meghan McCain Playboy Interview: 'Where's the Electricity?'

Meghan McCain has offered a revealing interview to Playboy magazine, offering her opinions on two often taboo subjects; politics and sex.

According to McCain, the current 2012 presidential campaign is nothing else if not lame. "It's just been so lame -- so many debates, so much blather, so much oversaturation," McCain said in the Playboy interview. "But where's the electricity? You'd think someone would rise up and tap the frustration and energy of the Occupy movement or the Tea Party, but it just hasn't happened yet."

McCain, who is the daughter of former presidential candidate John McCain, is also a blogger, contributor, and columnist for the Daily Beast. While she said that her father would have been a great president and helped to lift the morale in the military, she also admitted that she would not have made a great first daughter.

"You would have the craziest first daughter ever, who'd be making ridiculous headlines and hurting the administration every step of the way," McCain told Playboy.

Exactly what McCain could have done to affect her father's presidency is uncertain but it seems fair to say that opening up to Playboy about her sex life wouldn't have helped any.

The blogger admitted to Playboy that she was particularly fond of her single life. "I can do whatever the hell I want all the time. I have no one to check in with," McCain said. "When you're in a serious relationship, you kind of have to check in before you go out with your friends or do whatever. I think I'm a bit of a commitment-phobe. Or maybe it's just that I haven't met the right guy."

Unlike her father, Meghan is very liberal, and strongly supports same-sex marriage, causing some to believe that she herself is gay.

"I'd be the first person to tell the world I was gay. I'm not private about anything," McCain stated confirming the she was heterosexual.

"Dating's okay, but guys can be weird," McCain added.
