'NCIS: LA' Season 7 News, Spoilers: Show Boss Previews Callen Identity Reveal
Curiousity must have already slipped away from the minds of avid followers but Special Agent G. Callen's real identity is a thing yet to be found out. However, in one of the upcoming episodes of CBS' hit police-procedural drama TV series "NCIS: LA" Season 7, the mystery will finally be unraveled.
In a recent interview, executive producer Shane Brennan told Entertainment Weekly that after seven seasons and 159 episodes, the G in the name of Chris O'Donnell's alter-ego will now be revealed.
According to the EP, it was their intention to disclose Callen's identity before the series come to a close.
"We've had a lot of fun finding out who Callen is, and from where he came. I wanted the audience to have the opportunity to enjoy that moment, he said to EW.
Although the truth will already be out in the open, Brennan said that discovering his name is just but the beginning.
"And while he's now discovered his identity, Callen's odyssey isn't over. In many ways, it's just beginning," the EP added.
The big reveal is slated to be served in a special episode scheduled to air sometime in February.
Earlier this week, "NCIS: LA" returned from its holiday break with its midseason premiere called "Core Values." The segment saw Kensi (Daniela Ruah) and Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) going undercover to find information at a decommissioned nuclear power plant. The mission was in line to their current investigation to the death of a Gunnery Sergeant who was reportedly poisoned while taking duty as a security guard in the said facility.
Next Monday, Jan. 18, the show will return with yet another exciting installment titled "Angels & Daemons." This time around, the fans will find the team investigating the murder of a tech entrepreneur turned venture capitalist. The latter was found out to be in possession of a daemon tool, a computer program that enables users to collect data without detection.
