Pelosi's America and the Declaration of Dependence

"So, it is almost a false argument to say we have a spending problem." Nancy Pelosi

Watching Nancy Pelosi spend our money is like watching the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" justify their decadent shopping sprees. After the largest tax increases in history were pushed through by Democrats at year's end, Pelosi and her insatiable tax-and-spend liberals want more.

She is out of touch, and we are out of money. This must end.

Any Alcoholics Anonymous member will tell you that one has to admit he has a problem before he can correct it. Pelosi would say a drunk has a "bartender" problem, not a "drinking" problem. The ability to blame others is the overarching trait of entrenched Democrats.

Pelosi is a tough woman. I guess when you have that many needles put in your face for that many years, the only colleague who understands your pain would be John McCain.

Pelosi said that when she was sworn in as the first female Speaker of the House, she heard congratulatory voices from various historic suffragist heroines like Susan B. Anthony. To be fair, she has risen further in Washington than anyone in a dress and high heels since J. Edgar Hoover.

She has the power to get out votes using her House Whips, which is also the name of a bar in Nancy Pelosi's San Francisco district. The people love her there and named a street near the Golden Gate Bridge after her. It is a one- way street, it only turns left, and it has a lot of work done on it each year.

She traded for votes and persuaded Congress to pass ObamaCare, famously telling us that we could see what was in the healthcare bill after it was passed. She demanded a bigger government jet, Air Force 3, so she could fly home to California each week.

She also famously said that when she and the Democrats were in control she was going to "drain the swamp" that is Washington. But as any Southerner will tell you, once you drain a swamp all the snakes get loose.

Pelosi recently raised a stink when she found out Ralph Lauren had the US Olympic Team's opening ceremony outfits made in China. If goods are to be made in a communist country, they should be made in California!

Pelosi is the same brilliant economist who said the best thing we can do for employment is to expand unemployment benefits. By her reasoning, to decrease unemployment, we need to pay more people not to work. You can imagine the face Pelosi tried to make when questioned on this logic.

What Democrats have done successfully is to create a dependent class that they make excuses for, and then somehow blame the Republicans for it. It is a simple political transaction. Democrats ensure that their constituents enjoy a comfortable lifestyle sucking off the government in exchange for their votes, so Democrats don't have to fly coach on commercial jets or get a real job in this economy.

There are principles at stake. I am afraid Pelosi does believe in central command socialism, although there is not a case in human history where it has worked. Politicians like Pelosi -- and Obama -- are exponentially more dangerous when they really believe this junk than the crooked elected official who is just there for the graft and kickbacks.

Zimbabwe recently announced it had only $14 in its treasury. Other indebted countries think that country is bragging. We are $16 trillion in debt. So a country that is corrupt and to which no one will lend money does better financially than one full of ideologues with an open checkbook who are bent on mortgaging its citizens' futures.

Nanny Pelosi is ready to do battle on raising taxes again this year. And if she does not win she will display the appropriate displeasure. Her plastic surgeon has assured her that her frown will be ready in time for the sequester vote.

This historic, first woman Speaker of the House was relieved of her duties in 2010 by John Boehner (R-Ohio), the first orange Speaker of the House. No single political party can succeed in "fooling all the people all the time." And that my friends, is why we have a two-party system.
