Prince William Spending Hours in Hospital With Kate

Prince William has reportedly stayed by his wife Kate Middleton's side every waking moment since she was diagnosed with acute morning sickness on Monday.

The royal spent six hours at King Edward VII Hospital by the side of the Duchess of Cambridge on Tuesday in addition to having spent all day there on Monday.

While the Duke of Cambridge did not speak to members of the press who had gathered outside of Central London's hospital, the father-to-be appeared jubilant while headed home this evening.

Upon her second day at the hospital, the Duchess is "feeling better," according to St. James's Palace. The statement added that Kate is "continuing to feel better" and responding well to treatment.

The royal couple, both 30-years-old, announced Monday that they are expecting their first child.

"The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with the news," the official statement from St. James's Palace read.

Additionally, it was announced that the Duchess is suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, or acute morning sickness, that includes excessive vomiting.

The rare condition makes it almost impossible to eat or drink, and pregnant Middleton has been on a drip to restore lost nutrients and prevent dehydration, reported the Daily Mail. She is expected to spend a few days at the hospital before requiring rest once she is released.

Although just in her first trimester, the Duchess of Cambridge and her husband were forced to announce that they are expecting their first child together after the Duchess required medical treatment.

In addition to Prince William's vigilant visits, Carole Middleton, Kate's mother, was expected to visit Tuesday.

Also visiting Tuesday was the royal gynecologist, Dr. Alan Farthing, as well as Middlton's primary OB/GYN, Dr. Marcus Setchell, BBC reported.

Meanwhile, Middleton can be sure that her grandmother-in-law Queen Elizabeth II will not be paying a visit to the hospital. The Queen would rather Kate make a speedy recovery, reported People magazine.

"She doesn't normally go because it disrupts the running of the hospital," said a palace source close to the queen. "And the duchess just wants to recover and get out."
