Redskins vs Eagles Live Stream, Preview: How to Watch NFC East Division Battle Tonight
There is a lot at stake in Saturday's game between the Washington Redskins and the Philadelphia Eagles, with both teams competing to grab the top spot in the NFC East. Both can fairly say they haven't had the best year, but that's no longer significant at this point. What's more important is that they still have all the opportunities to advance to the postseason. The Redskins have some momentum after grinding out a crucial victory against the Bills last week. The Eagles, on the other hand, are down on morale after getting crushed by the Cardinals. Should Philadelphia want to win this division, they will have to win against the Redskins and then do the same against the Giants on their final regular season game.
Eagles' Defense against the Redskins' Running Game
The Eagles have one of the best defenses in the entire NFL, but only when the team's on top of their game. Inconsistency is their main issue. In last week's game, they were quite focused on stopping one big play to another, but everything else was ignored. Perhaps the most obvious cause of the Eagles' inconsistent defense is Bennie Logan, who happens to be suffering from a recurring ankle injury.
For the Redskins, a poor defensive performance from the Eagles means they'll have total control of this matchup, especially in the running game. The team will again rely on their ground game in which they were seen running for more than 100 yards in each of their matchups in the last four weeks. The fact that Philadelphia is at the bottom in the league when it comes to rushing defense and that they are giving up 134 yards each game on the ground will give Washington a very easy time.
The key for the Eagles is to step it up on defense and do everything to prevent the Redskins' running backs from dominating the game. Perhaps they'd be more consistent this time when there's a lot at stake.
