Roma Downey shared an amazing photo of a cross formed by clouds in the sky above the set of her new television series "A.D." on Friday.

The "Touched By an Angel" star and her husband, Mark Burnett, are executive producers of "A.D.," which will premiere on NBC Easter Sunday. The couple were filming their original NBC event series in Morocco when an unbelievable sight stopped production in its tracks.

"On the 'A.D.' set this week we were filming Peter and John in front of the Sanhedrin. … When Adam Levy (who plays Peter), turned to Babou Ceesay (who is playing John), and pointed to the sky directly overhead, there they could see clouds had formed in a complete blue sky in the perfect shape of a cross," Downey said in a statement this week.

The actress was not the only one deeply impacted by the sight. Downey added that several cast and crew members interpreted the astonishing scene as an inspirational sign and blessing amidst a hard day of work.

"Everyone was stunned and filming stopped as phones came out and everyone was snapping pictures," Downey continued. "It was such a moment of awe and everyone was saying it was a sign, it was a blessing. To see a cross in the sky. … It certainly energized a tired, hardworking crew for the rest of the day and reminded everyone that we were being watched over as we are working hard to bring the Book of Acts to the screen on Easter."

Downey went on to connect the cross formation in the sky to Scripture, specifically pointing to Acts 2:19.

"I shared this picture with a pastor friend and he reminded me of this scripture from Peter's sermon at the birth of the church (Acts 2:19): "And I will grant wonders in the sky above and signs on the Earth below, blood and fire, and vapor of smoke."

"A.D." premieres on NBC Easter Sunday, April 5 and will air in a 12-part series.
