Sacramento Kings News and Rumors: No Suspension or Discipline for DeMarcus Cousins After Ejection
When DeMarcus Cousins erupted in their game against the Golden State Warriors and got ejected, Sacramento Kings general manager Vlade Divac feared that his star center is going to be suspended by the league, especially when he made a physical motion toward one of the referees of that game.
Good news for Kings fans, it appears Cousins will be spared of any punishment, for now.
But there has to be reason why the NBA did not hand out punishment or suspension. By looking at the video, the league must have realized that the 25-year-old did not actually show any intention to make contact with the official nor did he make one after being whistled for a technical foul. The moment he got ejected, that right there is already a form of punishment.

However, one very important fact about the ejection is that before it happened, Sacramento was leading Golden State. When Cousins got the boot, the defending champions scored on a 15-0 run. That's the difference of the momentum shift in the NBA, or in every other sport.
The cause of Cousin's outburst was foul trouble. He couldn't agree with any kind of call the officials made, and once he realized his fouls were keeping him out of the game, he started cursing and yelling, which eventually escalated when he was whistled for his fifth foul in the third. This is where he got his two technical fouls and automatic ejection.
In a career spanning only five years, the former All-American and Kentucky big man has already been ejected 10 times. Not only that, he also has faced and consummated five separate league suspensions. In essence, he's been suspended for each of his years in the league.
But when he's out there in the court focused and motivated, he's one of the best big fellows in the entire NBA. He is a regular double-double machine, currently averaging a little below 25 points per game and about 10 rebounds.
