Samsung Galaxy Nexus Coming to Sprint
The Samsung Galaxy Nexus smartphone could be coming to Sprint in the near future, according to an ad leaked onto CNet this week.
The ad features a picture of the phone with the Sprint logo at the top right corner and reads, “introducing Galaxy Nexus, the first 4G LTE phone from Sprint. It seems like the right device to launch the carrier’s LTE network."
The Galaxy Nexus has been rumored to be coming to Sprint for months and the carrier officially debuted its LTE network earlier this week which means that its own version of the Galaxy Nexus could arrive as early as Jan. or Feb. 2012.

The ad also revealed that the Sprint Galaxy Nexus will receive a slight upgrade in a few key areas. The carrier’s version is set to include a dual-core 1.5GHz processor as opposed to Verizon’s that only has a dual-core 1.2GHz chip.
Sprint will be holding a press event at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas where the carrier may officially unveil its Galaxy Nexus. This event is set to take place on Jan. 9. Sprint will most likely release more information next week regarding the device.
The Samsung Galaxy Nexus launched as a Verizon exclusive last month just in time for the holidays. It is the first handset to feature Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich. ICS is the newest Android software and has not been made available on any other Android devices so far, but is expected to make its way to popular Android smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy S2 and Motorola Droid Razr.
Verizon was only expected to have exclusive rights to the Galaxy Nexus for a limited time so the device should be making its way to other major U.S. carriers as well including T-Mobile and Verizon.
