AT&T and T-Mobile customers are eagerly awaiting the respective October 2 and October 12 release dates of the Samsung Galaxy S2 on their preferred network.

Much anticipation has surrounded the U.S. debut of the Galaxy S2, a smartphone dubbed the "iPhone Killer" that has been internationally popular since its global release in late April.

In the U.S., the Galaxy S2 has been solely released on the Sprint network thus far, under the name Epic 4G Touch, but many customers have held out to get the smartphone under either AT&T or T-Mobile.

Despite being the same phone, there are many differences between the various Galaxy S2 models.

The international version varies from the U.S. version and the U.S. versions vary from each other.

Here is a rundown of the fantastic specs that can be found on the upcoming U.S. models of the Galaxy S2.

AT&T

The most notable thing about the AT&T Galaxy S2 is its similarity to the original international version that has swept the globe.

The AT&T Galaxy S2 shares with the international version its 1.2GHz dual-core ARM Cortex A9 Exynos processor, 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus screen, Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and thin profile.

These are the original specs that got the Galaxy S2 recognized as the "iPhone Killer."

Customers are anticipating using their AT&T Galaxy S2 model on the carrier's quickly expanding 4G network.

The AT&T Galaxy S2 has been priced at $199.99 with a two-year contract and separate data plan. Sprint's Epic 4G Touch is also selling for $199.99.

T-Mobile

The T-Mobile model of the Galaxy S2 has been revamped to make it all-American.

Its most notable spec is its 1.5GHz dual-core processor, which makes it the fastest S2 in the Galaxy line.

In conjunction with T-Mobile's recently updated HSPA+ 42 network, the smartphone can process 4G-like speeds that are faster than most home Internet speeds.

The T-Mobile model also boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 processor, 4.52-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, a 8-megapixel primary camera that can shoot up to 1080p and front-facing 2-megapixel camera.

It runs on Android's updated 2.3.5 Gingerbread OS as well as its latest version of TouchWiz.

The T-Mobile Galaxy S2 has been priced at $279.99, due to its faster processor. However, a $50 mail-in rebate brings its price down to $229.99
