Sarah Gore, Al Gore's Daughter, Marries; Former VP Attends Low-Key Wedding
U.S. former Vice President Al Gore attended the wedding of his daughter, Sarah Gore, in California over the weekend.
The politician's youngest daughter got remarried during a low-key ceremony attended by her separated parents and just one of her three siblings. The 35-year-old bride married real estate agent and musician Patrick Maiani, according to Page Six.
Gore, an artist, fittingly opted for a bohemian ceremony that took place Friday, April 19 in the beach town of Carpinteria, Calif. The bride and groom exchanged vows below historic Torrey Pine tree dating back to 1888 while standing inside a heart made from rose petals as guests looked on. Afterward, the couple joined Al Gore, his estranged wife Tipper, as well as the bride's sister, Kristin, at Crushcakes & Cafe. Sarah's other siblings, Karenna and Albert, did not attend.

"It was a fun little intimate reception," wedding and events manager Alyssa Murray told People.com. "They came in, had breakfast with their wedding party and cut their cake. It was kind of a last-minute thing, and really cute here in our small little beach town. They all had lattes, huevos rancheros and different egg scrambles. It was a very small party- about 10 to 15 people."
For dessert, guests enjoyed a round vegan vanilla bean cake. As for the father of the bride, the cafe owner Shannon Gaston said Gore was "real" and "normal" person.
"It was shocking," she told People of the An Inconvenient Truth filmmaker. "He talked to us, let us take pictures. He was just such a normal person and it was a real, real-family affair. But all of us kept wondering, where are his security guards?"
It is the second marriage for Sarah Gore; she wed businessman Bill Lee in 2007, but the pair later went their separate ways.
