'Sense8' Season 2 News: Cast Shakeup on the Way as Season 3 Talks Are Placed on the Table

Fans will finally see the cast of "Sense8" season 2 in about two months. However, it appears that there will be a cast shakeup as Netflix has reportedly started speaking with the actors for a potential third season.

In a new report by Deadline, it is said that Netflix has started speaking with the core cast. The stars have received contracts for what could be the start of negotiations for "Sense8" season 3. However, only half of the core cast members are said to have closed deals. The remaining seven are still in discussions.

The big problem that the show may face is if the remaining four stars refuse to sign up for another year with "Sense8." There was already trouble during the first season when Capheus (Aml Ameen) had to be replaced by another actor. Since some of the actors in the series may soon get other projects, time may be running out for the streaming giant in terms of closing deals.

Den of Geek notes that reassembling the cast of "Sense8" season 2 for another season would be difficult. The time in between the seasons could cause problems for production to kick off on schedule. At this time, it appears that the main cast members are all available. However, it remains to be seen if things will work out during negotiations.

Meanwhile, new photos for the second installment have recently been revealed. The images tease that fans should expect romance, trouble and more trouble for the sensates. On the other hand, the photos also tease some light-hearted moments.

In the photos obtained by Coming Soon, it is teased that Kala (Tina Desai) and Wolfgang (Max Reimelt) may see some developments in their romance in "Sense8" season 2. Another image hints on Sun (Doona Bae) being interrogated behind bars. While this means trouble for the Korean martial artist, the entire gang of sensates stand behind her.

"Sense8" season 2 is set to premiere May 5 on Netflix.
