St Louis Cardinals vs Washington Nationals Live Stream: Watch MLB Online NLDS Playoffs Game 3

The St Louis Cardinals and the Washington Nationals will face off again on Wednesday in a vital match up, which could determine which team makes it through to the National League Championship Series. The game will start at 1.07 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the MLB network. Alternatively fans can watch online through live stream through one of the packages described below.

The series is all tied at 1-1 after the opening two encounters, although many pundits are now saying the Nationals have the advantage by being all square coming into Game 3. From this game onwards the Nationals will play all three possible remaining games in Washington, giving them an all important home advantage.

The Nationals were tied top for the best home record in the entire NL during the regular season, spinning off 50 wins throughout the season.

The Cardinals meanwhile have had a stuttering time on the road, and lost 12 more games away from Busch Stadium.

The Nationals will not be turning to young pitching star Stephen Strasburg as general manager Mike Rizzo previously stated in September that he would opt to shut him down for the remainder of the season.

That means Edwin Jackson will be coming onto the mound for today's game, having had a very ordinary season.

Meanwhile Chris Carpenter, although spending most of 2012 on the disabled list, is known as a postseason star, and in his six postseason starts last season he went 4-0 with 3.25 ERA.

The game is also significant as this will be the first time Nationals Park will host a playoff game.
