The 49ers have been one of the favorites to be here all season long, and they have lived up to their billing well. They won the NFC West division with a record of 11-4-1 and have since laid out their credentials to win the Super Bowl this season by beating the Green Bay Packers 45-31, and the Atlanta Falcons 28-24.

The Ravens meanwhile finished the regular season 10-6, claiming the AFC North division title. They have had a longer route to the Super Bowl game in the post season, but have come through every test thrown up at them; defeating the Indianapolis Colts 24-9, the Denver Broncos 38-35, and most recently successfully took down the highly favored New England Patriots 28-13.

The Ravens will be looking to Joe Flacco to help them overcome the 49ers today. He has had a fantastic season, going 317 from 531 for 3,817 yards and 22 touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Colin Kaepernick will be the central figure in the 49ers line up. He has gone 136 from 218 for 1,814 and 10 touchdowns.
