'Supernatural' Season 11 Midseason Premiere Date, Spoilers: Dean and Castiel Travel to Hell, Lucifer Out of Cage?

Just a few more days left until American horror fantasy television series "Supernatural" returns for its second half of season 11. It can be remembered that during the midseason finale, Sam (Jared Padalecki) got himself stuck in Lucifer's infamous cage after being tricked by him.

When the show returns, Dean (Jensen Ackles) will be setting out to save his younger brother. According to TVOM, the older of the Winchester brothers will be traveling with Castiel (Misha Collins) to hell. The source also said that they will be teaming up with Crowley (Mark A. Sheppard) to accomplish this certain mission. And whether they will succeed in their undertaking or not is something that fans will have to watch out for.

But as noted in Inquisitr, a team composed of Sam, Dean and Castiel is most likely to come to victory just as long as they put their differences aside and work together.

Meanwhile, in a report by Melty, the trailer for the upcoming premiere has already been released and as usual, it's filled with mystery and thrill.

According to the source, it appears that Lucifer is out of the cage. He is seen in the trailer wearing a Santa costume with a very jolly vibe. But then again, it may all just be a vision trick especially since Crowley is acting rather extra jolly so it means that something is not right. It's possible that Lucifer is just "playing mind games with everyone around the cage."

The trailer also showed Cas showing his chest carved with some words. Although it's not easy to decipher what it says, Melty reported that it may be "I am coming." But who's coming? The report said that it could be Amara trying to communicate with Cas. It could also be hinting that Lucifer is out of the cage, or maybe it's God returning to settle things with The Darkness.

A lot of questions need some answers. Fans can catch "Supernatural" season 11 episode 10 on Jan. 20 at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
