Tackled Cheerleader Forced to Delete Twitter Account (VIDEO)
Melissa Kellerman, the Dallas Cowboys cheerleader who was tackled in Thanksgiving’s football game, was forced from Twitter after a couple of lighthearted tweets about the situation.
Kellerman, who tweeted as @MelissaRae, stood innocently on the sideline during the Cowboy’s victory against the Miami Dolphins Thanksgiving Day.
After a pass to the Cowboys’ Jason Witten, the 250-pound tight end was pushed out of bounds, colliding with the cheerleader and knocking her to the ground.

Despite the gruesome tackle, Kellerman sprung up relatively quickly, seemingly more surprised and embarrassed than hurt.
Her tweets expressed a similar sentiment shortly thereafter: “Not hurtin’ today, like some of y’all thought I would be! Our [tight end] isn’t as tough as he looks… That or I’m WAY tougher than I look. ;)"
Another tweet by Kellerman said: “I’m not the best at Jason Witten trust falls.”
Although Kellerman did not think much of the situation, the Dallas Cowboys organization apparently did. The cheerleader’s Twitter account was inactive by Sunday.
So far, the Cowboys declined to comment as to the reason the @MelissaRae account was forced out of the social networking sphere.
Various media websites surmised that the football team could have taken offense at Kellerman’s insinuation of Witten’s weak tackle.
Others have taken a more active stance, criticizing the Cowboys for censuring someone whose comments had little effect on the game or public opinion.
Darren Rovell, a CNBC sports business reporter, tweeted: “Shame on the Cowboys for pulling cheerleader @MelissaRae off Twitter. Not allowing these girls to capitalize is criminal.”
More support for Kellerman comes as a Twitter account called @BringBakMelissa. The account tweeted: "Hey Dallas Cowboys (American's Team), we want @MelissaRae back on Twitter. She needs support to recover from that hit during the Thxgiving game. We got ur back M."
