Taylor Swift New Album 2017 Release Date News: Announces December Tour Date 2017

The dates of Taylor Swift's live performances this year has been revealed following the release of her new album. These are not tour dates although she has said that she will hit the road with full concerts in support of Reputation.

The 27-year-old singer recently scheduled two concerts for December one in San Jose, California radio station 99.7 Now!'s Poptopia on Dec. 2, and in Chicago's B96 Jingle Bash on Dec. 7. Since these are only live performances and not full concerts, they are expected to be brief and include only a handful of songs.

As with most of her performances, they will be teen-targeted, multi-act radio station holiday shows. They also feature acts like Ed Sheeran, Fifth Harmony, Backstreet Boys, and Khalid.

These will be her first live performance since a special Super Bowl week show in Houston in February. This is also her first concerts following the release of her sixth studio album, Reputation, on Nov. 10.

The dates of the live performances were confirmed by one of the singer's reps. However they did not reveal any detail regarding the time frame on a full tour announcement.

Taylor Swift once said that she was only going to have one tour date in 2017. With the announcement of the two performances, she is sort of sticking to her word.

The singer has been unexpectedly quiet following the late-summer release of her two singles "Look What You Made Me Do" and "Ready for It." Information about "Reputation" is also being kept under wraps in the lead up to its release. Journalists wanting to write up early reviews of the album are even required to listen through headphones on locked iPads under the gaze of a security guard.

"Reputation" comes three years after Taylor Swift released the mega-selling "1989," which marks the longest break between albums for the singer.
