'The Blacklist' Season 3 Episode 19 Spoilers: Did Liz Really Die? Red Works on a New Case
NBC's hit crime fighting drama TV series "The Blacklist" Season 3 returns this week with an all-new episode that is expected to find Reddington (James Spader) reeling over the loss of Liz (Megan Boone).
Major spoiler alert for those who missed "Mr. Solomon: Conclusion," the task force was grieving for Liz's death. She died due to the injury she sustained as she and Tom (Ryan Eggold) made their escape from Mr. Solomon's (Edi Gathegi) pursuing party. She did deliver her baby girl, Agnes, via an emergency surgery. However, the wounds she got from the encounter plus the medical complications prove to be too much for the mother to handle.
Last week, Entertainment Weekly posted some promotional photos for the upcoming episode titled "Cape May" which featured a funeral. It could be deduced that it is for Liz but fans are still quite confused if Liz really died in Episode 18.
It has to be noted that the casket seen in the images is closed, giving the assumption that it's really not for Liz or it's entirely empty.
According to Carter Matt, perhaps the show is still keeping the character's fate a mystery. It would also be a good strategy for the task force to make as they can now deal with the enemies including Solomon. Moreover, the publication pointed out, that Liz's "death" might be a good diversion as Boone prepares for her maternity leave. Speculations are quite rife indicating the possibility that the ex-FBI will resurface before the current season ends or maybe in Season 4.
For the meantime, The Futon Critic speaks about "a mysterious beauty" who is on the run from unknown assailants will cross path with Red. This is quite indicative that Red will try to move on from the loss of Liz by tackling on a new case.
"The Blacklist" Season 3 Episode 19 premieres this Thursday, Apr. 21, at 9 on NBC.
