3. 5 alternatives to ‘woke’ companies
2023 was defined in part by the backlash received by “woke” companies that embraced LGBT ideology. As a direct result of this phenomenon, alternatives to major companies emerged to give those who hold traditional Christian values the opportunity to support businesses that share their views.
Specifically, Ultra Right Beer burst onto the national scene as a direct competitor to Bud Light, as it faced backlash for collaborating with trans-identified influencer Dylan Mulvaney and sending the social media personality customized beer cans with his face on them in honor of his first year of “girlhood.” The ad launching Ultra Right Beer identified the product as “100% woke-free” and included a pitch to “stop giving money to woke corporations that hate our values.”
Daily Wire CEO Jeremy Boreing unveiled Jeremy’s Chocolate after chocolate manufacturer Hershey partnered with a trans-identified male as part of a campaign for International Women’s Day. The product’s two different types of candy bars reflect the gender confusion that has become prevalent in American society by taking the names SheHer and HeHim. Boreing noted that the HeHim bar has nuts while the SheHer one does not.
Other previously established alternatives to “woke” corporations continue to serve customers in 2023, including Patriot Mobile, which bills itself as “America’s ONLY Christian conservative wireless provider.”
Culture of Life 1972 continues to provide clothing that embraces the pro-life message years after its launch, while PublicSq. gives consumers the information they need to ensure that they only “spend their hard-earned money with businesses that prioritize the values that have made this nation so special in the first place.”
