Third Day's brand new album Lead Us Back: Songs of Worship is already scaling the charts this week, landing at No. 20 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart and No. 1 on Billboard's Top Christian and Gospel Albums Chart.

Marking the release of their album on March 3, the contemporary Christian rock band performed before a sold-out audience at New York City's Beacon Theatre. Then, days later, Third Day swept "Fox & Friends" on March 7 where they performed their lead single from the new album, Soul On Fire, which remains at No. 8 on the Christian National Audience Chart.

Third Day is currently preparing for their "Soul On Fire Tour," which kicks off in Canada on April 29. Furthermore, the band will come to the Gwinnet Arena on June 6 for their "Third Day & Friends" event, which was sold out a month in advance, before making a stop at Red Rocks on June 9.

Earlier this year, Third Day discussed "Lead Us Back: Songs of Worship" while speaking to The Christian Post, deeming the new album their best work yet.

"Needless to say, we are super excited about this album," Third Day's lead singer Mac Powell explained to CP. "We are not one of those bands that say this is the best record we have ever made because albums come in seasons from a lyrical standpoint. But I think this is the best record we have ever made. It's one we have always wanted to make but in the past, it was never the right timing."

The singer went on to describe the content of the new album, including a fresh sound and a corporate feeling merged with the one of the Bible's most famous characters: Moses.

"It began last year with early recordings, and we knew wanted to present something different for us musically, to shake it up for us and for fans and do something fresh," Powell said. "Lyrically, we approached it with a corporate sound. And lot of the album is about the Exodus and the story of Moses. A lot of songs are about that — someone leading God's people from slavery to freedom, from bondage to the Promised Land. We, as believers, feel that God leads us with Jesus out of our sin and out of that slavery, and in a sense, into freedom and salvation. That's the album, in a not-so-small nutshell."
