Tyler Perry Defends Bobbi Kristina: 'Leave This Baby Alone!'

Tyler Perry is publicly defending the late Whitney Houston's daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, after she made headlines for allegedly quitting her role in his new television show "For Better or Worse."

Houston's 19-year-old daughter reportedly recently walked off the set of Perry's new TV show, according to sources who spoke with RadarOnline.com.

"Bobbi Kristina had a private breakdown and barely anyone saw it," an unidentified source said. "She was crying and said she needed a minute, she needed a break to get herself together. But then she decided she couldn't handle doing the show right now. She's still mourning her mom."

However, Perry, 42, took to his own website to clarify the rumors that Brown had quit his television show.

"I woke up this morning to my publicist calling me saying that there were reports that Bobbi Kristina walked off the set of 'For Better Or Worse,'" Perry wrote on his website. "NOT TRUE AT ALL PEOPLE!!! There is no way that she could have walked off the set because we have finished taping the season."

Although Perry acknowledged that Brown was grieving her mother while working on the television show, the Hollywood director and producer said the teen had fulfilled what was required of her for the job.

"Being someone who knows about losing their mother, I know grief comes in different ways and you never know when it's going to hit you or how it's going to hit you, for that matter," Perry said. "So yes she was grieving, but grief aside, she managed to finish her obligation and did a great job at the same time."

Perry went on to defend Brown by asking others to leave her alone, after she has recently made headlines for allegedly gambling illegally, engaging in drug use and quitting his television show.

"Please leave this baby alone! And she is a baby," the director, actor and producer wrote. "Please stop the lies and give this child some room to breathe and grieve. If it was your child wouldn't you want that?"
