Valentine's Day Celebrity Tweets Flood Site

Valentine's Day has arrived and Hollywood stars are celebrating along with all the rest of lovers around the world on Thursday.

Each year on February 14th, people celebrate love by exchanging candy, flowers, or notes known as valentines with their significant others.

On Twitter, messages about the heartfelt holiday flooded the social media site with Happy Valentine's Day becoming a trending topic on Thursday. Among the many posts were messages of love from celebrities, and The Christian Post has selected some favorites this year.

"Happy Valentines day hotties," wrote fitness expert and "Biggest Loser" trainer Jillian Michaels.

One Direction's Niall Horan tweeted, "Happy valentines day everyone! Love you all so much!"

The singer also posted a picture of a valentine, writing, "My only card of the day so far from a little girl called Freya! Thank you Freya!"

In response, fellow band member Harry Styles added, "Freya and Noola nice to meet you this morning! Thanks Noola for my valentines card. Happy Valentine's Day!"

British actress and "Les Miserables" star Samantha Banks posted, "Hope everyone is feeling loved : ) xxx"

"Dancing with the Stars" host Brooke Burke Charvet added, "Happy valentines day Tweeties. I'm snuggled on my couch with my son, totally in love : )"

Other single celebrities posted jokes as well as happy wishes on Valentine's Day, including Meghan McCain who posted: "happy singles awareness day."

"Valentines ~ sigh," wrote "Call Me Maybe" singer Carly Rae Jepsen. "I've decided to announce my new single on the day of love. Kind of ironic- 'Tonight I'm Getting Over You.'"

In addition to posting sentiments to Twitter, Julianne Hough divulged her Valentine's Day plans. The "Safe Haven" star is dating "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest.

"[Ryan likes] surprising me and ending up at a restaurant and having the place cleared out and rose petals and stuff like that," said the star while speaking to People magazine.

"This year I think it will be more understated," added the 24-year-old. "I have no idea [about Thursday's plans]. He likes to do Valentine's Day."

Hough noted that Seacrest's efforts make her feel "so cute and special."

This Valentine's Day, Starbucks is helping coffee lovers celebrate. The Seattle based company is offering a 2-for-1 deal- buy a Vanilla Spiced Latte, Mocha, or Hot Chocolate and get a second one free from 2-5 p.m. on Thursday.
