This campaign has been launched in support of World Down Syndrome Day, which is on March 21st. Saatchi & Saatchi has released a new campaign for CoorDown. It is intended to bring more opportunities for integration into society for those with Down Syndrome. In this video they give one man the chance to give his girlfriend a surprise marriage proposal.
The advertising by CoorDown, and the celebration are all aimed at bringing awareness to the fact that those with Down syndrome have a right to happiness and a sense of wellbeing just like anyone else. This year the ad they created features a common dream for couples, even for those living with Down syndrome. As anyone does, these kind of couples have the right to marry. Also, they have the right to other things such as a home, make a family, and have a regular independent life.
