Expressing support, Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, who resigned from their roles in the royal family in 2020 and now live in California, responded to the news in a statement to Vanity Fair

"We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace," the couple said.
