7 Dwarfs Mine Train Opening at Disney World (VIDEO)

A new and exciting attraction inspired by "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" is headed toward Disney World this year, the theme park announced this week.

The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train will be a first-of-its-kind roller coaster for adventurous families everywhere, opening soon in Magic Kingdom Park. While enjoying the ride, passengers will race through the diamond mind from the famous story of "Snow White," complete with glittering jewels, while the roller coaster tumbles over mountains and sharp turns.

Moreover, the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train will feature several beloved characters from the fairy tale, recreated vividly in 3D with innovative technology. The ride also features new audio animation characters that use computer graphics to give them a full range of facial expressions, according to the Daily Mail.

Now for the first time, fans can now take a sneak peek at the new roller coaster, known as the "crowning jewel" at the Florida theme park's New Fantasyland. The highly-anticipated ride marks the biggest project in Magic Kingdom history.

"Representing the largest expansion in the nearly 43-year history of Magic Kingdom, the spectacular new space features attractions, dining, shopping, character interactions, recreation and more- laid out fairy tale style amid waterfalls, grottoes, arched bridges, forests and circus big tops," Disney said in a statement.

The Seven Dwarf Mine Train is set to open this spring, just in time for a summer getaway.

"Walt Disney World Resort guests will be treated to an exciting, musical ride in the mine 'where a million diamonds shine' as the lovable world of Sleepy, Doc, Grumpy, Bashful, Sneezy, Happy and Dopey comes to life," the Disney World website added.

Meanwhile, the brand new expanded area of New Fastasyland will also feature "whimsical encounters" from the Enchanted Forest to Dumbo-themed entertainment of Storybook Circus.
