Update: Jason Palmer took to X on April 14 to announce that he was endorsing Biden and launching a new organization called TOGETHER! that seeks to “steer America away from polarization and extremes by mobilizing young American voters to elect a new generation of common-sense leaders from all political backgrounds.”

Jason Palmer, who is seeking the Democratic presidential nomination, became the first Democrat other than Biden to win a Democratic primary or caucus after winning the American Samoa Territorial Caucus. According to Palmer’s campaign website, the candidate’s priorities include balancing the federal budget within five years and sending a thank you letter to taxpayers explaining to them exactly how their money was spent.

Palmer’s additional priorities include term limits, public funding of elections, ranked-choice voting and the establishment of a new Department of Innovation and Technology. He also seeks to overhaul the American immigration system by enabling people to obtain green cards based on “points” for “positive factors like work experience and opportunities, years of education completed, degrees and certificates earned, ability to communicate in English, and family ties to the United States.”

Additionally, Palmer wants to create a “Medicare for More” system allowing people aged 50 years and older to buy into Medicare for the price of a Gold or Silver Obamacare plan. He “plans to work with Congress to pass a national right to choose law” that would codify the Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion nationwide into federal law. His plans also include engaging in dialogue about a “Federally sponsored reparations program.”
