Update: Perry Johnson took to X on Oct. 20 to announce that he was suspending his campaign.

Perry Johnson, who describes himself as a “self-made businessman, problem solver and quality expert from Michigan,” is one of several candidates seeking the Republican Party’s nomination for president. Johnson sees a “bloated federal government that is creating record inflation which is crushing the American middle class” as “the most pressing issue facing our country.”

Johnson has proposed a “two-cents plan,” which would “cut two cents off of every dollar in federal discretionary spending to end inflation and solve the debt crisis.” Perry offers a book titled Two Cents to Save America, which contains a foreword by noted economist Arthur Laffer, for free.
