'Basic safeguards' or 'baseless attack'? Activists react to 5th Circuit abortion pill ruling
Planned Parenthood
The nation's largest abortion provider Planned Parenthood published a tweet Wednesday assuring that mifepristone is still available despite the recent ruling, informing people that the drug “remains FDA-approved.” In a follow-up tweet, the corporation provided a link to a website that helps people find where to obtain an abortion.
Alexis McGill Johnson, Planned Parenthood’s president and CEO, also responded to the ruling in a Wednesday tweet, writing that the decision shows the availability of mifepristone is at a “serious risk.”
“The Supreme Court should take this case and reject this clearly baseless and political attempt to interfere with our ability to get health care,” Johnson wrote.
