Nick Lachey- 'Becoming A Dad's The Best Thing That Happened to Me'

Singer Nick Lachey is very excited to be a father and is ready to have more children, even though his son is only 17 months old. Lachey released a CD of lullabies before son Camden was born and now wants to spend more time being a father.

"Being a father isn't always easy, but it's so rewarding. It's easily the best thing I ever did," Lachey told In Touch Weekly. "We definitely want to have more, but I don't have a time frame. It would be fun to have a girl!"

Lachey has been married to model Vanessa Minnillo for two years, and the couple welcomed Camden last year. They shared the news of her first pregnancy with their fans and the public and have continually released personal photos of Camden and their family. Lachey's brother, Drew, and sister-in-law Lea already have two children, one boy and one girl. It would be like playing catch-up for older brother Nick.

"He's running around like a maniac now, and he's starting to really talk," Nick said of his son. "It's so fun to see how he's absorbing everything we say, like it's all starting to click. And not just a word here and there – full sentences! The other day he said, 'Bye, Daddy,' which was pretty cool. All of a sudden, he's a little kid who you can talk to, who talks back."

Lachey is currently hosting a new program on VH1 called "Big Morning Buzz Live." He decided to keep things rather close to the chest during a Reddit "Ask Me Anything" session with fans. It was clear from the transcript that he wanted to focus on his career, not past, during the session and demurred when asked about his previous relationship with Jessica Simpson. Instead, he chose to answer questions about his family and Camden.

"He loves to dance. And he has great rhythm," Lachey said when asked if Camden was showing any interest in music.
